Message Interesting I just got off the phone with a Nistune customer who had changed his torque converter to a higher stall speed.
And mentioned to him about increasing the size of his trans cooler and re-locating it..
I have the largerest B@M cooler available that has the cooling fan which comes on when the temp goes above 175..On any TT with the auto I highly recommend this cooler..
The area for the installation of a larger cooler is limited in the front of the car. I made a frame for the cooler and it attaches to rear of the subframe.
So, I have relocaed my cooler to the rear of the car..My car has the driftworks Hicas eliminator so the NICAS lines and solenoid is removed.
I reversed the lines off of the transmission and ran AN SS lines to the cooler.. pics on [ www.nissanturboforum.com ]
Works great. I also have the cooler wired so that the fan stays on after shut down.. It usually stays on from 30secs to 1 min..
